 How would you describe your personal style?My style is best evidenced in my collections; I love the casual, bohemian-chic style of the kaftan. It is all about effortless elegance, throwing on something with a great print or a amazing fabric that you instantly feel beautiful wearing. What do you do when you're not working? At the moment I am fusing business with pleasure, from our new store opening in Mosman to overseas design trips to gain inspiration for the new range I tend to find my down time and work life are often intermingled. Where possible I love to spend time with family and friends over a great meal at North Bondi Italian or start the day with a walk along the beach with my dog Gypsy. Where are your favourite places to shop? I love the Four Wind’s Gallery in Double Bay for their beautiful turquoise pieces and Bottega Veneta for their fabulous shoes, the best summer accessories! What beauty product can you not live without? The M.A.C Sun Tints SPF Liquid Lip Balm, Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk UV Foundation SPF 20, Elizabeth Arden’s Mediterranean perfume and Model Co’s Turbo Lash wand Heated Eye lash curler is a must. Who or what has been your greatest fashion influence? From an early age I have taken a lot of my fashion cues from my mother. Her style combined with my background as an actress has provided a rich palette of inspiration for me to work from. What is your favourite place in the world to visit? It would be hard to name just one as I take inspiration from so many places, from Santorini, the Maldives and India to Africa, the Caribbean and Mexico. What music do you listen to when relaxing? A collection of local music from my recent trip to Tuscany, it provides a wonderful mood in the office when I am creating new prints. What is your favourite piece from your current range? My favourite piece is the Porcelain round neck kaftan with matching reversible coat. In a nutshell, your philosophy on life is? Just do it! Never let fear or inexperience stand in the way of a good idea or something that you are truly passionate about. |
