Well, for my core range i think my all time favourite is the '7feathers' long necklace, my daughter and i have worn them for so long now they have just become a part of us... i dont go anywhere without it.... and they are too many favourite bracelets, its getting ridiculous to be wearing so many, i could never choose.. i feel bad if i dont wear them all at once.... im running out of room and contemplating starting another 'rack' on my right arm!!!

And for 'The Darkness and the Light' it would be the necklace of the same name and 'together' or 'crescent moon 3times around' bracelets because they are easy wearing and slip in with my core designs.

Has your daughter Rani showed an interest in making jewellery herself?

She has her own box of jewels and bowls of beads in my studio... and she grabs pendants and bits and pieces and asks me to make her new jewels with them. She also LOVES barbie jewellery- sometimes coolbabycool doesn’t cut it!!!!

Is there anything in particular you do to find inspiration when designing?

If im really stuck, i try and let it go because i drive myself crazy thinking about it...  i will read a magazine, book... try to get out of my room, out of my house, watch a movie... go to the beach or shopping- anything visual that will spark something for me. Sometimes it can just be a phrase i hear or read and i know i want to create a piece behind the story. I also get inspired constantly by fashion, buying something new or obsessing over something i have to have.. i will play around with my wardrobe and my old jewellery that suits then drape or hang new ideas to suit.... i am influenced hugely on what im wearing at the time- or what i want to be wearing :)

Do you have any particular role models or people that inspire you?
Seeing Erin Wasson always sparks something for me... her look is what rani and i would call 'coolbabycool'!!!! I have never seen something on her that doest work, she is always very inspiring.

Where do you envision or hope to see yourself and CoolBabyCool 5 years from now?

Wow.. that’s something i have been thinking about a lot lately.... I would love to open my favourite magazine see coolababycool being used in the kind of shoots i aspire to do, coolbabycool becoming a known name... a shop maybe...  that would make me really happy...  and me, well , Ra will be 10-11 and there will possibly be more little Ra's  by then and there will be lots of jewellery always and life well.... life will be bliss. Thats what i hope for xxo
