 Marnie Goss - Founder of www.frockshop.com.au Going between working in her office in Brisbane to overseasbuying trips in New York.. Founder of online fashion boutique Marnie Goss is one of the original Australianonline fashion pioneers. She takes some time out totell Mylookbook about her business and what inspired her to create Frockshop.com.au Can you remember the moment or what made you decide to enter the world of running your own business? Ever since I started working full time after leaving uni, I was always interested in working for myself and running my own business. When I was living overseas, I became hooked on online shopping and was quite disappointed when I returned to Sydney to find that there wasn't something similar here. The dollar wasn't good at that time (de ja vu?) and it was quite expensive to shop on overseas sites. I worked in fashion pr for a luxury brand for a while and the desire to start my own website grew stronger and stronger every day. I had a really bad day at work one day and just decided that was it, I was going to start my own online boutique. Can you outline Frockshop.com.au please? Frockshop is an online boutique which has a mix of Australian and international labels. We only carry the best brands and the latest fashions and are driven by trends and 'what's hot'. We are currently working on expanding our international brands and developing a much wider designer portfolio. What is a typical day for you? There is no such thing as a typical day for me as every day is different. It can range anywhere from answering the phones and helping to pack up orders to watching shows at New York fashion week. What aspects of running frockshop.com.au do you enjoy the most and least? I love it when I find a new up and coming designer. It is really exciting when you find a new brand that noone has ever heard of before and within a couple of years it is the name on everyones lips. I hate doing the books.
